From organic to natural

As part of a healthier diet, consumers are demanding simple, transparent processing processes that guarantee clean labelling.

Building on the expertise and reputation it has acquired over the past 30 years in the organic sector with the Sipal® range, Meurens Natural is also putting its know-how at the service of the natural sector with the Natu® range. Made from conventional raw materials, the Natu® range is the result of a natural (unrefined) production process also used for the Sipal® (organic) range.

Natural production process: unrefined

A pioneer in the organic sector with the Sipal® range, Meurens Natural has developed a transformation process 100% in line with the organic philosophy. The Natu® range also benefits from this production process.

The absence of refining, through the use of clean, simple and environmentally-friendly processes, ensures maximum preservation of the raw material’s characteristics (taste, color and minerals). Meurens Natural is the European specialist in cereal hydrolysis, with the ability to hydrolyse a wide variety of cereals using flour and not only starch as is conventional in the glucose industry.

Clean, short, easy-to-understand labelling

The hydrolysis of flour as part of a natural transformation process (without refining) guarantees consumers clean, short and understandable labelling: ‘rice syrup’ instead of ‘glucose syrup’ or ‘sugar’.
